“I learned to ski when I was 18 months old from my mom, a ski instructor, and my dad who managed many of the on mountain restaurants. With both of our parents working at the mountain, my siblings and I spent most of our time roaming around the slope of the resort. Growing up, I was an alpine ski racer and in 5th grade, I started telemark skiing, winning the Grand Targhee Big Mountain Telemark Competition five years in a row. Telemark skiing will always have a special place in my heart, especially the people I met along the way, but these days my heel is fully locked down and I enjoy long days in the backcountry, skiing iconic peaks , steep couloirs, big cliffs, and deep snow. What I truly love the most though is the people I get to connect with in the mountains and share those mountain experiences with. I love people, taking care of them and the backcountry, and for these reasons have found a place for myself in Sun Valley, Idaho where I work as an emergency and post-anesthesia nurse. My work is highly rewarding, but I still need to recharge in the mountains with friends. The bigger, the more partners and the steeper the better.”
